Walk to School Scheme
The school’s participation in the Living Streets Walk to School scheme has continued to encourage active, low-carbon travel. During the 2025/26 academic year, pupils recorded 17,100 active journeys, an increase from 11,762 in the previous year. Of these, 7,579 were walking all the way to school, compared with 6,678 in 2024/25. Overall, 81% of all logged journeys were active, maintaining the high level achieved last year and helping to reduce transport-related carbon emissions. What a fantastic achievement!

Switch Off Fortnight
During Switch Off Fortnight, our pupils showed fantastic commitment to saving energy and protecting the planet. Classes worked together to spot unnecessary energy use, switch off lights and devices and raise awareness across the school about the importance of reducing our carbon footprint. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made a real difference, and we are proud of the responsible choices they continue to make every day.

Cycle to School Week
Congratulations to all the children who took part in Cycle to School Week 2025—we are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, commitment and brilliant effort throughout the week. Their positive energy has inspired us to think
bigger and we are delighted to share that plans are now underway to make active travel a more long-term feature of school life. As part of this, we have submitted an exciting bid for a new bike shed, which we hope will
support and encourage even more pupils to travel to school in a healthy, sustainable way.
